Get Involved

There are a number of ways to get involved in the Campaign for Safe Road Design, you can view our petition or write to your MP.

For non-UK residents, please support the European Campaign for Safe Road Design or the Make Roads Safe Campaign.

VIEW OUR PETITION

Petitions have long been sent to the Prime Minister by post or delivered to Number 10 in person. Using new Downing Street technology we let Gordon Brown know how important safe road design was to you.

The direct link to the online petition is http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/saferoaddesign/.

WRITE TO YOUR MP

We invite all UK residents to contact their constituency Member of Parliament to ensure that the government makes a commitment to a Safe Road Infrastructure Programme central to its road safety strategy beyond 2010.

TheyWorkForYou.com makes it easy to look up the details of your local MP, and send an email to them.

Remember the key points of our Campaign are:

  • A programme to implement safe road design could save 10,000 deaths and serious injuries every year
  • We need to make safe road design a national transport priority
  • We can save 10,000 deaths and serious injuries annually worth 0.5% of GDP through a programme to implement safe road design.
