We’re pleased to announce that the 2025 Crash Risk Mapping (CRM) results are now available. The latest national picture of crash risk on Britain’s motorways and A roads is now available through our interactive mapping tool.
Our Crash Risk Mapping Tool is freely accessible to all authorities and practitioners, offering an intuitive way to explore and understand patterns of road safety risk across the strategic and major road networks.

Our interactive resource provides a clear, evidence-based platform to:
- Identify high-risk road sections quickly and confidently
- Understand changing risk patterns over time, helping highlight emerging issues
- Prioritise routes where targeted investment will have the greatest impact in saving lives

The Crash Risk Mapping tool is available at no cost to local authorities. There is support available to help you maximize the value of the underlying data. Assistance can be provided for:
